We asked Jarret a few questions about himself. Find out what he has to say below:
Briefly describe your work history:
I had previously worked for a design-build subcontractor for five years in the engineering and design services department. I spent time in the estimating, planning (BIM Coordination), and engineering department. I managed a variety of projects during my time there and was heavily involved in the mechanical design for those projects. Additionally, I spent a lot of time reviewing projects for value engineering opportunities and project scope for our construction branches. I have designed projects in Florida, DC, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and California.
Briefly describe your technical expertise and market sectors that you have experience in:
My main focus has been on mechanical designs. I have worked in a wide range of market sectors. Examples would be new construction and renovation of office buildings, hotels, secure facilities, hospitals, stadiums, and central utility plants. I also handled Revit training companywide and the creation of the company Revit standards. Since I was working for a contractor, I spent a lot of time on-site, working with our field team to better understand their struggles and issues.
Briefly describe your personal work ethic and values:
I have a strong work ethic and I am always willing to go above and beyond what is required. My focus is on teamwork and trying to help out where ever I can. I believe the more you help those around you grow the more you will continue to grow. I have a strong value of honesty, integrity, and doing the right thing. Also, the company I worked for had an amazing passion for field staff safety. After being there and seeing friends/co-workers go through injuries I also have grown a key focus on construction safety.
Jarret is a graduate of University of Central Florida and has his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems.
