Wick Fisher White is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to take the lead on design projects of varying size and complexity. We are seeking someone who will also work closely with and supervise the designs of junior-level engineers and serve as a mentor. A successful candidate will be a strong team leader, who is goal-oriented, organized, efficient, and able to adhere to strict project timelines.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and develop designs for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems for buildings.
Execute and/or supervise the electrical design for projects from concept through completion.
Familiarity with commercial, education, healthcare, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, retail and/or multi-family residential sectors.
Write and prepare technical reports & specifications.
Prepare and/or supervise overcurrent, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers through project work.
Coordinate with other consultants and project engineers.
Cultivate strong working relationships with the internal and external project teams.
Travel to client sites as needed.
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
PE License
Solid communication ability and technical writing skills
Proficient with SKM Power Tools or other similar electrical engineering software
12+ Years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry
5+ Years of experience in project management position
Although not required, an outstanding candidate would have:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Commissioning / Functional Testing Experience
