Lower Bucks Hospital - Central Plant Equipment Replacement
Wick Fisher White provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the equipment replacement of Lower Bucks Hospital’s Central Plant helping to upgrade the hospital with a more efficient and effective building infrastructure system. Specifically, the project included the replacement of the existing steam boilers with three new 250-HP steam boilers complete with all associated controls, boiler breeching and dual fuel burners, built to operate on no.2 fuel oil or natural gas. Included with the boiler replacements were a new boiler feed water system, a new building automation system, new domestic water heaters, new water treatment, new medical gas and vacuum equipment, a new double interlocked pre-action sprinkler system, new motor control centers and a new 20,000-gallon above ground fuel oil storage tank. This project provided the Hospital with reliable, energy efficient systems that will serve the facility for the next 25-years or more. Wick Fisher White was the prime consultant on the project, providing guidance to Lower Bucks Hospital from conception of the project through design and construction.
