Wick Fisher White provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design services for a 20,000 sf renovation to portions of the ninth floor of the 401 City Avenue, occupied by MGKF. The design included the demolition of a floor within the contract area to accommodate renovations of the administrative spaces. The existing two pipe water source heat pump system was modified to meet the new layout for MGKF. Spaces included attorney and paralegal offices, administrative offices, a multi-media room, a multipurpose room, case rooms/workrooms, conference rooms, a catering kitchen and storage rooms. The original building was not designed for high occupant loads. The design challenge was providing upgrades to meet the projected cooling and ventilation requirements. This project is LEED Silver Certified and was completed in 2014.
