The Shops at Coconut Point project totaled approximately 1.2 million sf of open-air retail space and consisted of three distinct areas and phases: The Community Center, The Lakefront, and The Village. The anchor stores included Dillard’s, Barnes & Noble, and a Muvico Megaplex Theater. There were also several restaurants along with 100 stores ranging from Bath & Body Works, Brookstone, Express and Express Men. The Community Center of Coconut Point featured approximately 50 stores which included a Best Buy, DSW, Ross, and Bed Bath & Beyond. The Lakefront of Coconut Point was a transitional area between The Community Center and The Village. Wick Fisher White performed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design which also included site lighting and dry utilities for all three phases. The property had several multi-story buildings where retail shops were located on the first level and offices and/or residential condominiums were located on the upper floor.In addition, we were also responsible for the coordination of design between the applicable consultants, contractors and owners. The MEP design also included networked fire alarm, sound and building management systems for the entire site.
