Hudson County Community College unveiled a new 70,070 sf Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) building on its Jersey City campus. Wick Fisher White provided commissioning service for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems serving the six-story building which included 14 general classrooms, 10 science labs, an open lobby, an outdoor collaborative space, a multi-purpose room and offices for administrative officials. In addition, our team commissioned the HVAC systems, automatic temperature controls, equipment and lighting control systems in accordance with the USGBC’s LEED 2009 requirements under the Energy and Atmosphere (EA) prerequisite 1 for new construction. Through our commissioning services we helped to improve the overall energy efficiency of the building systems.
