Wick Fisher White provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the renovation of a leased space on the first floor of a two-story medical office building attached to the Rothman Specialty Hospital to create a state of the art, patient-centered facility that delivers a unique, comfortable and enjoyable experience for the Holy Redeemer community. This project was the first major initiative and movement toward an organization wide transformation into creating, producing and delivering world-class experiences for patients, families, physicians and the employee team. The existing mechanical and electrical systems serving the leased space were replaced in their entirety. Special lighting systems designed to support the “experience design” interior elements of the space were provided. Two shelled spaces within the space were fit-out to incorporate the Profile Shop and the Holy Redeemer Experience Center. The Profile Shop offers products to oncology patients dealing with the after effects of cancer treatment. The Experience Center is a state of the art training facility for Holy Redeemer personnel. Using theatrical themes and equipment to educate and share the Holy Redeemer story with new “cast members”, the space utilizes computer controlled imaging and lighting to create scenes in which members interact with each other.
