In an effort to create more outward-facing tenant spaces and an entertainment venue at the interface of the former Sears building, Simon Property Group underwent a redevelopment project at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, MA. Wick Fisher White provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design. This second phase of a larger project calls for the demolition of the existing Sears and the redevelopment of the adjacent mall to include several outward facing restaurants, an entertainment tenant, a new mall entrance and several in-line retail spaces. The parking lot was also reconfigured to allow for the construction of new Lifetime Fitness and Tesla buildings. Adjacent to the new mall entrance, the hardscape and landscape were also upgraded as an extension of the outdoor experience installed as part of the Phase I Restaurant Row development. Overall, the project helped the client achieve a more modern appearance and improved customer experience at the mall.
